Ted Bromley

Board of Assessment

Appeals

Dear Hebron Voters:

My name is Ted Bromley and I am running for the Board of Assessment Appeals.  I grew up in Marlborough and graduated from Hobart College and Western New England College School of Law.  I currently work for the Office of the Secretary of the State as an attorney in the Legislation and Elections Administration Division and have been in this position for over 16 years.  I have lived in Hebron with my wife and son for fifteen years.  My wife and I were involved in the creation of RHAM Youth Lacrosse serving as Treasurer and Secretary respectively.

My family is no stranger to the area.  My mother was born and raised in Marlborough and my father lived in the Gilead section of Hebron for many years.  My parents often told stories about their time at RHAM and shared memories of working the farms in town.

Having lived in rural communities all my life, I understand the issues related to reliance on local property tax as the main source of income for our local government.  Prior to my work with the State of Connecticut, I was employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC in their state and local tax division.  This position allowed me to work with various state and local jurisdictions throughout the country.  This experience provided me with a valuable understanding of the challenges faced by local governments and their residents regarding all areas of taxation.

We are all residents and citizens of Hebron and with this privilege comes a responsibility to give back and participate.  More than any other election, the candidates you elect in our municipal election will most directly affect your everyday life.  Please participate, please vote on November 7, 2017.  I sincerely appreciate your support.

Ted Bromley
Candidate for Hebron Board of Assessment Appeals
