Claudia RileyBoard of SelectmenA native of West Hartford, Claudia Tejada Riley and her husband Mike, have been residents of Hebron for 17 years, have a son enrolled at RHAM High School and one RHAM graduate who is off to college. Claudia has dedicated countless volunteer hours over those years in local organizations. Her history of service includes board memberships of the Hebron Center Nursery School, RHAM Youth Football & Lacrosse, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, the Hebron PTA, RHAM High School Football & Lacrosse and The Town Center Project, a local non-profit. Claudia is no stranger to the strong and amazing greater RHAM community and its special residents. Professionally, she has worked for over a decade in the nonprofit arena as a social justice advocate and has tirelessly advocated for and worked with low and moderate income families across New England. Currently she is a Vice President, Community Liaison Officer with Webster Bank. Her focus is to grow homeownership for low to moderate income individuals and families through the bank’s footprint. She also actively participates in community engagement in partnership with local nonprofits that focus on workforce development, financial literacy, food security and affordable housing. Claudia’s desire to serve on the town’s Board of Selectmen stems from the change she feels is needed is in town: improving town processes, meeting the challenges of pressing issues such as the lack of affordable and safe housing and to continue to encourage a balanced approach towards increasing a diverse tax base in Hebron town center in a thoughtful way. |
