Elizabeth AlexanderHebron Board of EducationMy name is Elizabeth Alexander, and I’m running for the Hebron Board of Education. My husband, Will, and I moved to Hebron in June of 2020 with our daughters (12 & 16) and 8-year-old son. Moving during the pandemic was a challenge, but this amazing town made us feel so welcome. For my day job, I’m very thankful to have a career that I love in technology as the Sr. Director of Sales with Veritas Technologies. I’m grateful to work for a company that has allowed me to learn and grow. I see so many parallels to that and what the Hebron Public School system has done for my family. You’re most likely to find our family out and about enjoying a meal at a local restaurant or entertaining friends at our home. I’m a huge foodie and love to experience breaking bread with new and old friends, with special attention to the conversation that follows. It’s because of these connections with the community that I feel compelled to serve. One defining example was when my son was in first grade. He was struggling with reading at grade level. His teacher took note and aligned resources to help him be successful. By the end of that year, he was reading above grade level and continues to excel. Because of this and many other reasons, I want to give back to this amazing community we call home. Lastly, the values most important to me are authenticity, optimism, service, and hard work, all of which I believe will be an asset to the town of Hebron. I humbly ask you for the opportunity to represent you on the Hebron Board of Education and welcome any discussions on how we can work together to continue to make Hebron amazing. |
