Both children grew up attending Hebron's public schools from elementary through high school. She believes we have a responsibility to be involved and engaged where we work and live, and that the school system is the heart and soul of a small community. There are critical issues facing the RHAM school community and Heather is confident that her ability to listen and collaborate with people who share diverse opinions will encourage a more inclusive and supportive school community. Heather leads Pratt & Whitney’s public affairs function. Headquartered in East Hartford, CT. Pratt & Whitney, an RTX Corp. company, is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units. In addition to her public affairs role, she has a wide variety of experience in communications, spanning corporate social responsibility, government relations, crisis communications, brand & strategic events, social media, media relations and executive/employee communications. Heather has been recognized for her work in the community on behalf of Pratt & Whitney by The Boy Scouts of America with the Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award and by the East Hartford Chamber of Commerce with the President’s Award. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Metro Hartford Alliance and Trustee for the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce. She earned her Bachelor degree from Eastern Connecticut State University and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. |
